Deaf Connections is a small business with a variety of services geared specifically towards the Deaf communities. We believe in a holistic approach to the betterment of the lives of our consumers. As such, we believe that employment (job placement and coaching) services to a consumer base with many barriers and linguistic complications must go hand-in-hand with other services in order to bolster a consumer’s success in employment. Herein, we are uniquely tailored to our target consumers: Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, Late Deafened Adult, and the Hearing Impaired.

What We Do

• Provide expedient, quality job placement and career coaching services for deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind consumers


• Assist consumer in all aspects of obtaining gainful employment from implementation of Vocational Planning, resume development, interviewing skills, cross-cultural skills, assessing communication tools/auxiliary aids, and on-the-job training with the ultimate goal of fading, which allows the consumer to function independently.


• Champion the rights of consumers, while educating employers in a variety of strategies that will create a harmonious workplace for both consumer and employer/ees.


• Assist employers in identifying barriers to consumers within the purview of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and implement strategies of readily-achievable accommodations.


• Provide service to consumers in their native language or preferred method of communication. We are proficient in the following modes of communication: American Sign Language, Signed English, Sim-Com, Tactile Sign Language, and Orally Cued Communication.


• Ultimately, to provide consumers with a better quality of life which may have otherwise not been successful due to the various barriers our target population is presented with in the region.
